Indiana Cottesloe Beach

LOCATIONS
Located on Cottosloe Beach

Cottesloe Beach is well known for its beautifully terraced lawn areas under Norfolk pine trees overlooking a sparkling beach of pristine white sand and sparkling clear water. But what would this famous beach be without the magnificent structure of the Indiana restaurant? Built in 1910 and originally named Indiana Tea House, this beautiful example of architecture offers uninterrupted ocean views from every window, recycled wood for plenty of warmth and an exterior that seems to rise effortlessly from the beach sand. The venue recently underwent refurbishments to include new decor, fittings and a splendid private dining room, making the restaurant one of Perths most sought-after venues once again. Of course, weddings, birthday parties and other types of functions are always popular here, but dont wait for an invite to a function before sampling the restaurants a la carte menu.

Open for lunch and dinner, now is the perfect time to visit Indiana as the weather warms up and the sunsets begin to take on golden hues with splashes of pink. Using the freshest produce available, there's an appropriate emphasis on seafood, with South Australian oysters, seared scallops, tempura soft shell crab and four different styles of fish - all of which receive rave reviews from diners. The menu also includes a sensational dish with eye fillet, beef cheek croquette and sweet potato dauphinoise with a red wine and porcini port jus. You really have to try this one for yourself to understand its perfection. If youre after something lighter but still packing plenty of flavour, try the salad with shaved prosciutto, roasted pear, rocket, gorgonzola, hazelnuts and fig vincotto. I'm no genius but I have a hunch that the recent refurbishments and delicious new menu will make Indiana one of this summers hottest dining spots indeed.
