Verandah Restaurant & Wine Bar

LOCATION
Sydney CBD, close to David Jones and Martin Place.

PROFILED BY DE GROOTS MEDIA
Neutral stone and timber finishes dominate Verandah’s elegant restaurant and wine bar, a high-ceiling, open-plan space filled with natural light and crisp white dining tables. Giant bi-fold windows retract to maximise the finance district surrounds, allowing diners to marvel at the sandstone buildings and goings-on of the central business district outside. An L-shaped wooden bar flanked by soft amethyst lighting creates the focal point in the main bar area, overlooked by sheer black lampshades and a collection of cocktail tables

The wine is a major player in this game, and Verandah has some heavy duty sommeliers on hand to match your food and drink. The dining room’s feature wall holds 1400 bottles and there is a special wine cabinet with temperature and humidity controls that keeps an opened bottle fresh for longer. The wine list changes as often as the menu, making this a great watering hole that’s also good for a graze.

FUNCTIONS
In the evening Verandah is available for exclusive hire for functions. Whether your function is casual or formal, Verandah ensures the evening runs seemlessly for functions from 20-250.
